🚨 BREAKING: Leicester's Islam Slimani Joins Lyon on permanent deal

Premier League side Leicester City have confirmed Islam Slimani has joined French side Lyon on a permanent deal.

The Algerian international signed for the Foxes in August 2016 but failed to nail down a permanent place in the side, and he now leaves having made 47 appearances for the Foxes.

A statement from the club read;

"Leicester City can confirm that striker Islam Slimani has signed a permanent deal with Ligue 1 side Lyon, subject to international clearance,"

Prior to his move, the 32-year-old enjoyed loan spells with Newcastle United, Fenerbahce, and AS Monaco, netting nine goals for the latter in France’s top-flight in 2019/20.

He will replace Moussa Dembele, who has completed a move to LaLiga league leaders Atletico Madrid.
