English Premier League giants Manchester United won't be making a move for Spanish defender Sergio Ramos.
Ramos has been linked with a move to United in recent months but it is highly unlikely that he will leave Madrid with The Athletic confirming that the English side is not interested in the player as earlier thought.
The Real Madrid captain is out of contract in the summer and while his future remains a subject of speculation, his club is relaxed about the situation as they feel they will convince the former Sevilla man to sign a new deal.
Having begun his career at Sevilla, Ramos moved to Real Madrid in the summer of 2005 for £24million. It was then a record fee for a Spanish defender and the money came out to be one of the best spent with the defender having been a key member of the squad that has dominated Europe in recent years.
United is in search of a defender given Victor Lindelof’s troubles and Eric Bailly’s injuries and has been linked with a series of names in the past month.
