Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard might be on his way to France after it was reported that his representatives are in talks with Nice.
Lingard has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes in January 2020 and is seeking regular playing time as he seeks to give England manager Gareth Southgate some headache ahead of the Euros slated in the summer.
Sky Sports now reports that United is yet expected to receive an official bid from Nice next week but they are yet to decide whether to let the player go or not with the deal expected to be a six months loan.
The 27-year-old who played in the FA Cup win over Watford last weekend, but has not featured in the Premier League in over a year is under contract at Old Trafford until 2022.
There have been reports that Premier League side Sheffield United are also interested in the player on a loan deal but Lingard is interested in fighting relegation with the Chris Wilder side.
