Laliga side Valencia CF are showing interest in signing Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The Uruguayan has faced a torrid time at Atletico Madrid since joining last summer on a loan deal with reports rife that he isn't part of Diego Simeone’s plans.
Spanish portal AS reports that Valencia is hopeful of reinforcing their midfield this month with Torreira understood to be on their shortlist; the club said to have contacted Arsenal sporting director Edu.
Torreira has made just 13 appearances in all competitions this season and is seen as an option for Spurs midfielder Harry Winks whom they wanted before they rejected by Spurs.
Winks' contract with the north London club is set to run down in 2024 and the England international has openly spoken about his limited playing time.
