Ten-man Tusker picked maximum points at Kasarani Stadium following a 4-2 victory over Kariobangi Sharks in an FKF Premier League tie played on Saturday.
In the 24th minute, Marita Brian handed Tusker FC a deservedly lead. The Breweries won a free kick on the left edge of the box. Aloro stepped up to take it and delivered a beautiful ball that was met by Marita to put it past Bwire.
Five minutes later, Tusker won a penalty after Olwande brought down Monyi Kevin inside the penalty area. Meja was the man to take it and cooly finished it, sending the goalkeeper in the wrong direction.
In the 32nd minute, Sharks pulled one back through Eric Kapaito as the forward was given a beautiful pass by James Mazembe.
Before halftime, Sharks seemed to switch off as Mejja put Marita through on goal who grabbed his second of the game and third for Tusker.
In the second half, Tusker were reduced to ten men as Aloro was given a red card for a dangerous foul on Mokaya.
Three minutes later, Mejja netted his second to make it 4-1 as he received the ball in the box and went past Onyango before putting the ball past Bwire.
Eric Kapaito scored his second of the game to make it 4-2.
Nzoia Sugar 2-1 Sofapaka
At Sudi Stadium, Sofapaka suffered a 2-1 loss to Nzoia Sugar, the first defeat of head coach Ken Odhiambo.
Nzoia had a good start at home and they were awarded as they look an early lead through Leonard Kasembeli beating debutant Simon Masaka.
Minutes later Nzoia were terrorizing Sofapaka's defense with Erick Otieno who put the ball past Masaka to make it 2-0.
In the 58th minute, Lawrence Juma pulled one back for the visitors as he headed in a beautiful cross to reduce the deficit to one.
Sofapaka were reduced to ten men as captain Juma was shown a straight red card.
