English Premier League side Arsenal have made a move for Real Madrid playmaker Martin Ødegaard.
The Norwegian is being considered surplus to requirements at Madrid and on Wednesday, it was reported that he had told the club that he wanted to leave this January; a move that has alerted most clubs.
Sky Sports now reports that Arsenal is one of the teams interested in the player with the Mikel Arteta side looking for a player to fill the void left by Mesut Ozil who signed with Fenerbahce last week.
Ødegaard spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad but was recalled by Los Blancos this summer. Despite starting the club’s first two games of the season, he was suffered an injury and found himself below the pecking order when he recovered; the player managing just five minutes in the last six games for the club.
