Sofapaka head coach Ken Odhiambo is eyeing maximum points when they take on Nairobi City Stars today in an FKF Premier League tie.
Sofapaka suffered a 2-1 shock defeat to Nzoia Sugar last weekend as Odhiambo's men were forced to finish the match with ten men following Lawrence Juma's red card. Odhiambo believes his side will bounce back when they entertain City Stars today adding the team has prepared well.
"We’ve had a good preparation so far, everyone is in good shape and I feel we are set for Saturday’s duel," he said as quoted by the club's official website.
"We are facing a good side, they have a good set of players and have had a decent run in the league. Definitely, this will be a tough match and they will in all ways give us a good test on Saturday."
"Yes we are going for maximum points, we are at home and we have to bounce back to winning ways. We want to build on consistency, Nzoia match was a setback due to our own mistakes but we want to correct on that beginning Saturday."
Odhiambo was also delighted to see the return of the club's captain Alli Asieche who has now fully recovered from a groin injury.
"We are glad to have two dependable players back with us. Captain Asieche and Stephen Okola are all back and fit for selection. Asieche will be a huge boost to us especially after we lost Lawrence Juma last weekend.
Batoto ba Mungu, who are currently 13th on the log with 7 points from seven matches will play hosts to Nairobi City Stars at Wundanyi starting from 3:00 PM EAT.
