The English Football Championship is the second-highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and it is considered to be a fan-favorite thanks to its entertainment value - even in the case of goalless draws!
Here are our tips and best bets ahead of today’s matches!
AFC Bournemouth vs Sheffield Wednesday
While the Owls are without a win in nine on the road (D2, L7), they’ve won three of their last four Championship matches overall under Neil Thompson and will also be buoyed by their 1-0 success over the Cherries in November’s reverse fixture. With Bournemouth unfancied, we’re predicting a 1-1 correct score for this Tuesday’s action at the Vitality, though our main wager is on under 2.5 goals. That’s been the outcome in eight of Bournemouth’s dozen home games this term including their last three, while all but two of Wednesday’s away trips have also generated under 2.5.
Pick: Under 2.5 goals

Wycombe vs Birmingham City
Five unanswered second-half goals were slightly cruel based on Wycombe’s overall effort in the contest, but the Chairboys were running on empty towards the end of the match after losing 1-4 to Spurs in the FA Cup just four days prior. It’s asking a lot of Wycombe to hit back this Tuesday night and punters are also dissuaded from the hosts on the basis that they’ve won just two of their last nine league matches at Adams Park, losing four.

Coventry vs Nottingham Forest
City have won four and drawn four of their last eight home starts in the Championship and their form at St Andrews has been key to Mark Robins’ side easing themselves seven points clear of the relegation zone. Defensively they have been outstanding here, with clean sheets maintained in their last four starts and in six of their last seven, so it’s difficult to envisage too many problems being caused this Tuesday by a Forest frontline that has managed a poultry six goals on the road this season.
Pick: Coventry to win at FT

Millwall vs Norwich
Norwich have won three of their last four on the road and their form, coupled with the 23 point gap between these teams in the table, undoubtedly points towards an away success on Tuesday – despite the fact that Millwall have been tough to beat at The Den this season. The Lions have drawn eight and lost just three of their 12 home outings, but Norwich are top of the table for a reason and it’s hard to envisage the Canaries failing to match Coventry’s victory here at the start of the month.
Pick: Norwich to win at FT
