Hertha Berlin head coach Pal Dardai believes Matteo Guendouzi has tough learning to go through before realizing his full potential.
The 21-year-old central midfielder joined Arsenal on a £8m deal in 2018, before he was shipped out on loan to Berlin until the end of the current season.
While Guendouzi has made 17 appearances with two goals and one assists, coach Dardai has observed that the Frenchman is currently his worst enemy in terms of becoming a top player.
"It's like puberty for him, he's kind of a rebel. He has to work and learn like an animal,” Dardai said to Germany’s Bild as reported by Goal.
"In training, I always stop these kinds of duels because you can't fall to the ground like this. And, afterwards, he's mad,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Arsenal host Benfica in a Europa League second leg last 32 battle after a 1-1 draw away last Thursday.
