πŸ“Š STATS: James Rodriguez's incredible impact on Everton's attack

A lot has been said about James Rodriguez since he joined Everton in the summer from Laliga giants Real Madrid.

While many think that the Colombian has not lived up to the expectations, statistics have other ideas about the same with the player being one of the focal points in the Toffees attack. Injuries haven’t done him any favors but when available for selection, he has always delivered.

The player has spent the most time in the treatment room most notably missing five fixtures in December, yet either side of that there was only a visit to Newcastle and the FA Cup blockbuster vs Spurs that Rodriguez was forced to miss.

With Rodriguez on the pitch, across all competitions, Everton has scored 32 goals this season. That total accounts for matches in which the 29-year-old has played a minimum of 30 minutes.

And of those 32, Rodriguez has contributed directly to 17 goals - that’s roughly 53%. In the 17 goals, Rodriguez has scored five, assisted seven, and recorded five-second assists. A second assist, or pre-assist, is defined as the final pass before the assist.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that he can have the player fit for the remainder of the season as he seeks to lead the club to European places; the club that has a date with Southampton in their next league game currently sitting seventh on the log with 40 points.
