There is action in Italy's top-flight tonight, and here is where to place your bets!
Genoa vs Sampdoria
These two sides drew 1-1 when they last met, but these two bitter rivals haven’t drawn both games in a season since 1994. That’s bad news for Sampdoria, with Genoa looking much improved.
At home Genoa are unbeaten in six, winning three of their last four. Meanwhile, Sampdoria have suffered three defeats in their last five Serie A games. We see Genoa taking the points in the Derby della Lanterna.
🧠 TIP: Genoa to win at FT
Fiorentina vs Roma
Roma lost out to AC Milan at the weekend, stretching their struggles against top sides even further. However, the Giallorossi have won 11 of 12 clashes with sides in the bottom half.
As Roma have won eight and drawn one of their last nine games against sides placed in 14th or lower in the table. Meanwhile, Fiorentina have lost seven of eight clashes with the current top seven.
We’re backing Roma to edge this one, with Fiorentina struggling to match stronger sides.
🧠 TIP: Over 1.5 AS Roma goals
Atalanta vs Crotone
Atalanta have been in stellar form of late, winning four of their last five games. Their only slip came with 10-men against Real Madrid, so their recent standard has been incredibly high.
Atalanta should rack up a comfortable win, given that Crotone have lost 6-2, 4-0, and 3-0 in their other trips to the top four. Meanwhile, la Dea have scored at least three in each of their home clashes with the bottom six.
🧠 TIP: Over 2.5 match goals
AC Milan vs Udinese
It’s been a rotten time for AC Milan of late, having lost three of their last five at home in the league. However, those three defeats came at the hands of their fellow top four sides, so we’re backing Udinese to be easier opponents for the Rossoneri.
Udinese have won just one of their last 13 matches (D4 L8) at San Siro. Meanwhile, they’ve lost five of seven clashes with the current top six. The visitors also concede 1.75 goals per away game, which should suit Milan.
🧠 TIP: AC Milan to win at FT
Sassuolo vs Napoli
Napoli saw off Benevento to nil on Saturday, but we expect a higher-scoring clash when the pair meet in midweek.
Napoli have found the net in each of their seven Serie A matches against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium. The visitors have also scored in 11 straight Serie A games.
Meanwhile, Sassuolo have seen both teams score in their last 12 games, while they’ve notched in 13 consecutive matches. The hosts have seen 74% of their league games finish with both teams scoring, so BTTS is our selection here.
🧠 TIP: BTTS at FT
Benevento vs Verona
The home side has always won each of the three Serie A meetings between Benevento and Verona. Gil Stregoni will be aiming to maintain that run this weekend, as they look to stay clear of the bottom three.
Benevento are just two places clear of the relegation zone and they could really use a win. The hosts have shown improvement in recent weeks, drawing three consecutive home games. They’ve also lost just twice in their last six, with those coming to Inter Milan and Napoli.
Meanwhile, Verona come into this one with just three wins from 12 away trips. The visitors are winless in five on the road and they’ve won just once in their last five league games.
