Laliga side Sevilla is set to raid Liverpool for the services of Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumi Minamino.
While Minamino went to Southampton for the second half of the season to look for more game time, Shaqiri has remained at Anfield to fight for his place; the duo said not to be in Klopp’s plan in the coming season.
According to Spanish outlet La Razon, last season’s Europa League winners are keen to offer Liverpool £21m in exchange for the duo with Liverpool keen to cash in on the players as they seek to raise funds for their summer targets.
The reports claim Sevilla is prepared to pay £12.9m for Shaqiri and £8.5m for Minamino.
Shaqiri who has made just five starts in the Premier League this season was linked with a move to AS Roma last summer with a series of Premier League clubs said to have enquired about his availability in January. With his deal set to expire in 2023, Liverpool are keen to recoup some of the £13.23m they paid for him three years ago to Stoke City.
Xherdan Shaqiri: “My left foot is not bad, to be honest. I showed that in training a bit with my free-kicks or when I put one in the corner. Maybe that is why they say that I am the best. But we have a lot of good left-footed players. I am feeling good, feeling fit." #awlfc [sky] pic.twitter.com/vzW3wFuedy— Anfield Watch (@AnfieldWatch) March 16, 2021
