West Ham fear Man United will raise Jesse Lingard transfer fee

English Premier League side West Ham United wants to take loanee Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal but fears that his parent club Manchester United will hike his prize owing to his current form.

The Daily Mail reports that the Hammers will launch an official bid for Lingard after the end of the season but they are concerned about how much Manchester United will demand for the England international.

While there is optimism that a deal can be reached between the two clubs, West Ham wants to begin the negotiations as soon as possible to know what United wants for the player with the side confident that a Champions League place finish would give them an upper hand in convincing the player to join them.

The report claims that United is expected to ask for a fee of around £30m for the England international who has scored six goals in eight games and assisting four times since moving to the London Stadium in January.

His form at West Ham saw Lingard get a recall to the England national team in their last games and there is a high possibility that he will be part of the team that will represent the nation in the forthcoming Euros.
