Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is looking forward to meeting former Gunners boss Unai Emery in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
Arsenal advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League after beating Slavia Praha 4-0, 5-1 on aggregate and will now face Villarreal who eliminated Dinamo Zagreb. Arteta, who replaced Emery after he was axed will now face the former Arsenal boss and says he is looking forward to facing the challenge presented by his countryman.
Speaking to BT Sport, Arteta said, "Yes it will be really tough. Villarreal are a top team and Unai is probably the most successful manager in this competition."
"He totally deserves that. We know the opponent we are facing and now focus on Fulham. We won’t have any time to train or anything, we just make sure the players recover and activate them so they’re ready to go again."
Emery guided Arsenal to the Europa League final during his spell but was dismissed following a string of poor results the following season.
