Even before completing a season, Chelsea is contemplating awarding coach Thomas Tuchel with a new deal.
Tuchel has reformed Chelsea since he took over from Frank Lampard midway through the season with the club a game away from a Champions League final and according to Sky Italia correspondent Angelo Mangiante, the London side feels that the tactician needs to be rewarded for his efforts.
Angelo reports that negotiations are already in place for his contract to be extended with Tuchel having signed an 18-month contract when he joined the club in January.
He was the first German to manage Chelsea and arrived having guided PSG to four major honors and the Champions League final during his time in the French capital.
Prior to that, he spent seven seasons coaching in the Bundesliga, first with Mainz, where he led them into the Europa League, and then a successful period with Borussia Dortmund where he won the German Cup.
At Chelsea, he will be reunited with Christian Pulisic and Thiago Silva who he coached during his spells in Dortmund and PSG respectively.
