Thomas Muller and David are now the players with the most Bundesliga titles following Bayern Munich’s league win on Saturday.
Both players are now on ten league titles and surpassed the record held by former Bayern men Frank Ribery, Jerome Boateng, Robert Lewandowski, Javi Martinez, and Manuel Neuer.
Muller has another chance of extending this record next season as he will still be staying with Bayern but that can’t be said of Alaba who will be leaving the club in the summer as a free agent with Real Madrid said to be his next possible destination.
This championship also moves four more Bayern players level with Ribery on nine. Jerome Boateng, Robert Lewandowski, Javi Martinez, and Manuel Neuer all won their ninth title this year. While Boateng and Martinez will also be leaving the club this summer, Lewandowski and Neuer will be aiming for title number ten next season.
Most Bundesliga Titles
- 10: David Alaba, Thomas Müller
- 9: Jerome Boateng, Robert Lewandowski, Javi Martinez, Manuel Neuer, Franck Ribery
- 8: Philipp Lahm, Arjen Robben, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Oliver Kahn, Mehmet Scholl
