Eric Garcia is expected to sign a five-year deal with Barcelona this summer.
The centreback's current Manchester City contract expires next month, and Pep Guardiola announced earlier this season that he had decided not to extend it.
Garcia has been linked with a move to Barcelona since then, with the Catalan club coming close to signing him in the final days of the January transfer window before the deal fell through.
Garcia has reportedly signed a pre-contract deal with Barcelona until the summer of 2026, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who says that the 20-year-old only wanted to return to Catalonia.

President Joan Laporta has approved the defender's arrival as a free agent, according to Romano, and he will be formally unveiled as a Barcelona player at the end of the season.
Garcia progressed through the ranks at the La Masia academy before joining Man City in 2017, where he has made 33 appearances in all competitions for Guardiola's side.
