Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills says Norwich City midfielder Emiliano Buendia should snub Arsenal and sign for Aston Villa.
Arsenal are interested in signing Buendia this summer with Norwich believed to have set an asking price of £40million. The midfielder helped the Canaries return back to the Premier League after winning the Championship title in the concluded season.
Villa are also keen to sign the Argentine and are facing competition from the Gunners but Mills believes he should snub the north London side.
Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said, "You want to play, that’s the most important thing."
"Villa are probably looking at it as a replacement for Ross Barkley. Jack Grealish could even move on at some point."
"Arsenal, it’s a little bit scattergun. We’re not really sure what’s going on at Arsenal at the moment. We don’t know what direction they’re heading in, what style of play they’re going to play. There’s a lot of unanswered questions."
The 24-year-old netted 15 goals while providing 17 assists in the process for Norwich City as they earned a promotion back to the Premier League.
