English Premier League side Everton has enquired about the availability of Italian manager Antonio Conte.
Conte left Inter Milan last month after a disagreement with the club’s board over their transfer plans and while he was linked with Tottenham, a deal didn’t materialize.
Everton is in the market for a new manager after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid and according to reports from The Telegraph, the Toffees have made an inquiry for the 51-year-old as they look to appoint their next boss at Goodison Park.
Conte is among the names being muted to replace Ancelotti at the club with the others being Nuno Espirito Santo, Roberto Martinez, David Moyes, and Frank Lampard; Rangers boss Steven Gerrard coming under consideration at some point.
Despite the long list of managers, the report claims that Everton wants to bring in Conte or Brighton & Hove Albion’s Graham Potter at the club.
Nuno who was one of their top targets was on the verge of joining Crystal Palace but a deal collapsed in on Wednesday with Everton willing to start negotiating with the Portuguese once again.
