Fikayo Tomori has thanked Chelsea fans and the club at large after completing a permanent move to AC Milan.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season at the Italian side, seamlessly slotting in alongside Simon Kjaer as they qualified for next season's Champions League.
The Italians then decided to make the deal permanent, agreeing to pay Chelsea £25 million plus a further £5m in add-ons.
Following his move, the defender had a special message for the club.
"Wow.. where do I start? A club I’ve been with since I was 8 years old," Tomori posted on Instagram
"Growing through all stages of the academy. Helped me develop and grow as a player and a person.
"Winning various trophies throughout all the youth ages, to making my debut at Stamford Bridge, having the chance to play in the Premier League and Champions League; the things I dreamt of as a kid. Memories I will cherish forever.
"All I can say is thank you. To all the staff in the academy that got me to this point, all my teammates, ALL the fans, and Chelsea Football Club. I will miss you all,"
The London club confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the defender, who has been at the club since eight, was set to leave the club permanently.
"Chelsea is grateful to Fikayo for his contributions at the club, from youth level to men’s first-team squad, and wishes him the very best in his future career,"
