Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona has reportedly started to target Manchester United's outcast Donny van de Beek.
According to the reputable Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Catalans are considering the signing of Van de Beek on loan.
The midfielder would be reuniting with his former manager at international level, Ronaldo Koeman, while also combining his Dutch teammates Frenkie De Jong and Memphis Depay.
"Barcelona have identified Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek as a transfer target - according to Mundo Deportivo," Goal reported.
"The Spanish giants are considering a loan bid for the 24-year-old, who has struggled at Old Trafford since his £35 million ($48m) move from Ajax in 2020.
"Van de Beek is the latest in a long line of midfielders to be linked with Barca, alongside the likes of Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez and Lille star Renato Sanches," the outlet concluded.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils is another preseason friendly against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
