Manchester United have announced that three Academy players have signed new contracts with the club.
Joe Hugill and Charlie McNeill have both agreed long-term contracts, while goalkeeper Paul Woolston has put pen to paper on a year's contract and will begin his fourth season with United.
The two forwards, Hugill and McNeill enjoyed successful first seasons in the United Academy, with their efforts rewarded.
Hugill spent the last week with the first team at their training camp in Surrey while McNeill and Woolston have been preparing for the new campaign with the Academy group up in Edinburgh.
Woolston, who played nine times for the Under-23s during the 2020/21 season, is expected to once again be a pivotal part of the Academy’s goalkeeper group.
Meanwhile, McNeill, who scored more goals, 25, than any other player in the Under-18 Premier League last campaign in 29 games will be keen on lighting up the league in his second season.
