Newly-promoted side Salernitana is on the very of signing Franck Ribery on a free transfer according to reports.
Ribery spent two seasons at Fiorentina before his contract expired in June. The Frenchman has been a free agent and is yet to find a new club.
As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Granata are close to reaching an agreement with the 38-year-old.
Salernitana reportedly offered Ribery a one-year deal worth €1.5m plus bonuses.
Hellas Verona had also made a contract offer to Ribery, but the Frenchman seems willing to join Fabrizio Castori’s side.
Ribery joined Fiorentina on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2019 and scored five goals in 50 appearances with La Viola. He is now available as a free agent, so he can join a new club even if the summer transfer window closed on August 31.
