Underfire FC Barcelona head coach Ronald Koeman surprised journalists by reading out a statement rather than answering questions.
The former Netherlands coach's job is not secure after just one victory from the past four games, including a humiliating 3-0 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
The Dutchman declined to answer questions when he pulled out a press statement from the club in a press conference, which explains Barcelona's patient position regarding his future.
"The club is with me as a coach in a rebuilding situation," Koeman read, as per the Sun. "The financial situation of the club is linked to sports performances and vice versa," he added.
"That means that we, as a squad, have to rebuild the football team without being able to make large financial investments. That takes time.
"Today's young talents can become the new world starts in a couple of years. The good thing about rebuilding the team is that young players will have opportunities like Xavi and Iniesta had in their day.
"But patience is required," Koeman concluded.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on the weekend as Barca take on Cadiz on Friday night away.
