Roberto Mancini mocks England players

Italy national team coach Roberto Mancini has aimed a dig at England as he revealed his plans with his team in the Nations League.

Mancini's Italy defeated England in post-match penalties to win the Euro 2020 and while speaking about his plans to win the Nations League trophy, the former Inter Milan and Manchester City manager urged his side not to be like England.

“A little bit of superstition is always needed. We can't do like the English who had already tattooed the (EURO 2020) trophy. (The Nations League) is an important tournament, we play in Italy, so we hope to win it.

“In November, there will be the last two qualifying matches for Qatar 2022. After these last matches, we can say something," Mancini told TG Poste.

Italy has a date with Spain in their next tie in the UEFA Nations League next month before games against Switzerland and Northern Ireland in the World Cup Qualifiers in November.
