Bruno Fernandes calls for improvement from his teammates

Manchester United stand-in captain Bruno Fernandes has called on his teammates to improve on their performances if they are to win silverware.

Speaking in an interview on the BBC via the Independent after a disappointing draw vs Everton, Fernandes said it's games like those against Everton and Aston Villa that they should win if they are to bring the glory days back at Old Trafford.

“We should win this game. We should create more chances. We should not concede that kind of goal. It’s not the first time and we have to look at our mistakes and see what we can do.

“We dropped points at home and we should not do that. These last two games at home were not good enough in the Premier League. If we want silverware at the end of the season we have to do much better," he said.

United has won just two out of their last six games in all competitions, and haven’t kept a clean sheet after their 1-0 win over Wolves back in August.

United are yet to win the league since Sir Alex Ferguson called it quits in 2013, and their last trophy came under Jose Mourinho in 2017.
