Manchester United have been handed a boost in the pursuit of striker Erling Haaland after it emerged that the player is willing to snub a move to Real Madrid.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca via The Sun, Haaland might prefer a move to Manchester United next summer over Real Madrid due to his high ambitions.
The 21-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs due to his incredible goal tally of 68 goals in 67 games for Borussia Dortmund and there were reports that he was needed last summer by several clubs who made a bid but his club was not willing to let him go.
Real Madrid remains the frontrunner for his signature but with the pursuit of Kylian Mbappe expected to go into next year, Haaland might want to rethink his move to the Spanish capital.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer guided the youngster during their time at Molde, and United could eye a reunion again next summer.
United however will fight with Manchester City and PSG for the services of the player as the two clubs are also believed to be in the race for his signature.
