Barcelona youngster Pedro González 'Pedri' has signed a new long-term deal with an astonishing €1bn release clause.
The youngster's deal will now run up until 30 June 2026.
Pedri played 53 games for the senior team during the 2020/21 season - making him the player to feature in the most matches for the club last season.
The Canary Islands player also won the Copa del Rey during his first year with FC Barcelona.
Pedri also played for the Spanish national team at the European Championships, becoming the youngest player to debut for Spain in the tournament's history.
His 74 matches, for both club and country, make him the player with the most appearances in any European league.
The official signing will take place on Friday 15 October.
