Former Manchester United star Paul Ince has questioned the club’s desperation to secure a new Paul Pogba deal.
As widely reported, Pogba’s future is yet to be decided while his Man United contract edges closer to its end in June 2022.
While negotiations have been ongoing, reports have claimed that Pogba is being offered no less than 400k-a-week as wages. Meanwhile, Paul Ince is not impressed with the rumours…
"That's a sign of desperation from Manchester United in offering that contract," the ex-United midfielder told The United Stand.
"Obviously, they're trying to persuade him to sign this deal. It's a lot of money for someone who has been in and out of the side.
"He was on the bench two weeks ago against Everton and then all of a sudden you're saying: 'Here's £400k a week!'
Coming up for the Red Devils is UEFA Champions League action against Italy’s Atalanta.
