De Gea echoes Pogba's comments about Man United's form

Following Manchester United's latest defeat, David de Gea led a resounding response by urging his teammates to "fight for this shirt."

United's humiliating defeat against Leicester City on Saturday has raised further doubts about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's managerial situation.

Man United have pleased to deceive so far this season after being tipped as potential title challengers after making some high-profile additions during the summer transfer window, notably the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Their loss at the King Power Stadium was their second in three Premier League games, putting them five points behind leaders Chelsea. They also lost an embarrassing match in the Champions League to Young Boys, and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by West Ham.

Saturday's defeat to the Foxes highlighted some of United's flaws that have been apparent for some time, with the Red Devils going behind again after drawing level at 2-2 in the 82nd minute.

De Gea was one of the standout performers at the King Power Stadium, potentially highlighting some of the issues more, with Kasper Schmeichel even awarding him man of the match.

“We are stronger together. We stay UNITED and we fight for this shirt. Time to react,” De Gea posted on Twitter.

What Pogba said...

“It’s the mindset of all of us, the players when we start,” Pogba told Sky Sports. “We really don’t know, it’s frustrating because it’s something that we don’t understand and we have to find it out very fast.

"Because if we want to compete and, if we want to win the title, then it’s those games that you have to win even though that they are very hard, even if they are away, we need to find the right mentality, the right tactics to win those games.

"That’s my thoughts. We have to stick together and find the problem.”
