Bundesliga: Lewandowski scores 60th goal this calendar year as Dortmund unbeaten run ends

Robert Lewandowski scored his 60th goal this calendar year as champions Bayern Munich claimed a 2-1 home win over Freiburg on Saturday.

Leon Goretzka gave Bayern a 30th-minute lead before Lewandowski doubled the tally 15 minutes from time to render Janik Haberer's goal in stoppage time as a mere consolation.

The win saw Bayern maintains their top spot with 28 points; four points above Borussia Dortmund who went 2-1 down to RB Leipzig on the same day.

The loss to Leipzig ended Dortmund's four-game winning streak in the Bundesliga despite fighting back to restore matters earlier on.

Christopher Nkunku put Leipzig in front in the 29th minute but captain Marco Reus equalized early in the second half. Yusuf Poulsen slid in to send a cross from Nkunku inside the far post in the 68th minute to come with the goal that proved to be the winner.

Despite the loss, Freiburg stayed third on 22 points with Wolfsburg moving to fourth following their win over Augsburg on the same day.
