Manchester United have revived talks with Atletico Madrid fullback Kieran Trippier over a possible move in January.
Trippier was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer but a deal fell through after his club failed to reduce their demands on the player. The LaLiga side demanded United activate his whopping £51.2million release clause, which United was unwilling to do.
Reports from Il Tempo via Sports Witness states that United are back at the negotiation table with the player who is said to be keen on returning to England so as to be close with his family.

The move would allow United let Diogo Dalot move to AS Roma with the Portuguese having played second fiddle to Aaron Win-Bissaka this term. Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of Dalot but United will only allow the player to move if they can complete Trippier's deal.
Apart from United, there have been reports that Eddie Howe wants the English fullback at Newcastle in January to boost his defensive options.
