Paris Saint Germain superstar Lionel Messi has admitted it was weird to become teammates with Sergio Ramos.
The duo were not the best of opponents when Messi played for Barcelona while Ramos had a job to stop the Argentine maestro. The pair had actually been seen once or twice nearly coming to blows.
But football is unpredictable.
Messi and Romas became teammates after both joined PSG as free agents before the start of the season.
"It was weird after so many years of being rivals, the two captains of Barca and Madrid, after so many Clasicos played, so many fights we had on the pitch," Messi said, according to Football Espana.
"But all that was left in Spain and we have always respected each other a lot, no matter how much we have been great rivals in those Clasicos. Having him as a partner today is a sight to behold," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Paris are now looking ahead to the Ligue 1 trip to St Etienne this weekend.
