Paris Saint Germain and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi is doubtful anyone will ever beat or even match his seven Ballon d’Or accolade.
The former Barcelona star opened the gap on Cristiano Ronald’s five Ballon d’Or awards early this weekend by picking up his seventh.
Asked about the possibility to getting surpassed in the future, the 34-year-old said:
"I don't know if the record is beatable," Messi said, according to the Daily Mirror.
"I just have to accept it but I'm not sure if it can be beaten. Seven is really impressive,” the soft-spoken little maestro concluded.
Coming up next for Messi’s PSG is UEFA Champions League action at home to Belgian giants Club Brugge.
