Laliga giants FC Barcelona will be playing in the UEFA Europa League following their 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Prior to the game, Bayern's striker Thomas Muller had warned Barca of the consequences they were to face after striker Robert Lewandowski was 'denied' the Ballon d'Or gong and they made good their threat.
Muller gave the hosts a 34th-minute lead before Leroy Sane's 43rd-minute trike ensured they raced to a 2-0 lead at the break; Jamal Musiala's strike two minutes after the hour mark compounded the visitor's woes.
In the same group, Benfica beat already-eliminated Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 to finish second in Group E and advance to the knockout stage for the first time since 2016-17.
In Group G, Noah Okafor scored the only goal as RB Salzburg claimed a 1-0 victory over 10-man Sevilla to progress to the knockout stages for the first time at the expense of the Laliga side.
