Italian side Roma has submitted an offer to sign Arsenal ace Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan until the end of the season.
As reported by Athletic, Roma want to secure the services of Maitland-Niles on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to make the deal permanent. The Gunners are yet to respond to Roma's offer which was made in recent days following dialogue between the two clubs.
There has also been interest from Premier League clubs with Everton watching developments ahead of next month.
Maitland-Niles was keen to move last summer when Everton made a move for him back then as he made it plain he just wanted to get minutes, having spent the second half of the previous season on loan at West Brom.
But Arsenal blocked the switch and yet the England international has only had limited game time this season which has been frustrating.
🚨 AS Roma have now submitted an official bid, a loan with an option to buy, for Maitland-Niles according to David Ornstein!— AFTV (@AFTVMedia) January 3, 2022
