La Liga: Valencia face possible fine after controversial tweet

Valencia could face a fine as a result of their Saturday night tweet.

Los Ché did not take well to their defeat at the hands of Real Madrid, albeit they had reason to be frustrated.

Real Madrid were awarded a controversial penalty to take the lead, and it was all downhill from there for Valencia, who fell 4-1.

Casemiro was gently tripped in the penalty area as the ball slipped away from him, and in Valencia's defense, the midfielder was never able to get to the ball.

Valencia chose to vent their frustrations following the incident via their Twitter account.

The account posted: “The robberies in Madrid are starting to become repetitive,” while tagging a popular crime series called 'Money Heist'.

Valencia may actually pay a price for the tweet, just like players and head coaches do when they make such statements during press conferences.

The RFEF - the Spanish football organization – will conduct an investigation into the incident via its competition committee.

Valencia will be penalized between €601 and €3.005,06 if they determine the tweet violates competition regulations.
