When last did we hear of Hector Bellerin? Well, he has commented on the player that has delivered a fine job to replace him at Arsenal.
The Spanish right-back secured himself a season-long loan deal to his boyhood club Real Betis in La Liga ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal signed the Japanese star Takehiro Tomiyasu to take over the duties at right-back, and how well has he excelled!
Bellerin has now admitted that the 23-year-old Tomiyasu has been a top footballer and Mikel Arteta’s side has been impressive as a whole.
"Arsenal are doing amazing and that makes me so happy. The player they got in my position – Tomiyasu – he is doing great. No hard feelings,” Bellerin said on Ian Wright’s Spotify podcast.
“It is beautiful to see because I still watch every game and I want the guys to do well. It’s how football goes. You need to see when it is your time and when it is not.”
Meanwhile, Bellerin is likely to watch Arsenal take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup second leg semi-final battle on Thursday night.
