Declan Rice: I really enjoy playing at Old Trafford

Declan Rice confessed he loved his performance at Old Trafford on Saturday, describing the stadium as 'one of my favorite places to play'.

The England international was outstanding throughout an affair decided in the 92nd minute by Marcus Rashford's goal. This goal enabled United to overtake West Ham into fourth place and into the Champions League qualifying places.

He said after the game: "I was loving it. Every time I come to Old Trafford, I've always said it's one of my favourite places to play. It's an amazing stadium."

On his side's performance:

He added: “We’re gutted. It was a real kick in the teeth. We fought so well. There was very little in the game, so I think a draw would have probably been a fair result.

“We’re such a good counter-attacking side, and even when it was going to the latter stages of the game, we still had the energy to get forward. To end like that and get counter-attacked on in the last 30 seconds, and to concede a goal, was a real kick in the teeth."

Rice has been linked with a move to United in the past, and he is continuing to progress under West Ham manager David Moyes' coaching. Rice's statements after full time will have been music to United fans' ears, as the Red Devils are in desperate need of new blood in central midfield.
