Ruben Dias took part in training ahead of Wednesday's second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid.
The 24-year-old has been out with a hamstring injury since March 1, missing the last seven matches across all competitions.
Pep Guardiola confirmed to the press on April 1, before last week's first leg, that Dias will be evaluated for the following ten days to two weeks before being considered for first-team selection.
This is an encouraging update ahead of their pivotal European fixture in midweek, with the Cityzens sharing two photographs on Twitter of the Portugal international training at the Etihad Campus.
Dias's fitness to start on Wednesday is unknown, although he might fly to Madrid with the rest of the first-team group.
John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are the most likely center-back starters against Diego Simeone's side, although Nathan Ake – who started at left-back in the first leg – is also a possibility.
